Solid Gold is the show where Lonnie sings many of his own Gold hits as well as tributes to Rockabilly music and many of his Superstar friends and peers. He also presents songs from his recent albums and tells short stories about his life and career.

See them below...

The Hillbilly Cat Show

This show tells the story of Elvis Presley. How he got to record for Sun Records in Memphis, how he fused several styles to create what we now call Rockabilly, and the songs which became his first records for Sun Records. Lonnie sings them blending his own energetic style with that of the young Elvis.

The Cry! Show

Prior to Elvis and Rock'n'Roll, Johnnie Ray was the world's most popular recording and stage star. His show attendances broke all records and some still stand today. His antics on stage included lying on the stage floor making love to a microphone stand, jumping on a piano, shaking and frantically moving around the stage. These were the moves that a young Elvis and Jerry Lee Lewis year later put to a Rock'n'Roll beat. His vocal style was also unique so much so they named him, Mr Emotion, The Nabob of Sob and The Cry Guy.

Lonnie take 26 of the great Johnnie Ray songs and with his Leemen and a big band, presents a swing show like no other. He links them together in an exciting story.

The Rockabilly Frenzy Show

Due to requests for Lonnie to perform dance shows, he created this which presents his best Rock and Rockabilly songs especially for dances. For those who love Lonnie's energy and style, don't ever miss out on one of these.. Many of these songs are not performed in any of his other shows.

The Roots of Aussie Rock Show

As a tribute to his friends and peers, the first original Aussie Rock'n'Roll stars, Lonnie sings their songs and tells their stories. A truly historic show for those who want to go back and do it again or those who want to know just what the first Rock'n'Roll hits in Australia were.

SOLO PERSONAL SHOWS

Up Close 'n' Personal

Songs 'n' Stories

Every now and then Lonnie will perform smaller more personal shows without his band. These shows occur when there is no chance that his band can be used due to distance and other factors but mainly due to economics. Sometimes he is faced with the situation where his fans want him in a certain area but there is no way it would be economical to take the full show of band and productiion there. It is either he doesn't go at all or goes with this 'personal show'. These are mainly for special 'Seniors' shows.

Audiences don't mind, in fact we have never been asked why the band isn't there and it has never effected his ability fo fill auditoriums. Having the band there is mainly for Lonnie himself. He likes the comradery and the feeling if having his friends rockin' on stage with him.

So the sound production doesn't suffer, he has taken the band into the studio and recorded the songs he will do on the show. He then sings along to those recorded backings on stage. If you close your eyes, you would think the band was there.

On most occassions he will take a member of the Leemen with him, mainly Brian his lead guitarist.
